Holding hands may seem like an innocent gesture, but they show more than a simple interlocking of fingers. Your hands are one of the most essential parts of your body: you build with them, feed with them, hold with them, touch with them, fight with them; they are the tools of the human body. To take a hold of another’s hand is to break from living individually. It is to link yourself to another being, to momentarily entwine your life with another’s, to promise, for a moment, that you need not face the world alone. More simple, more aesthetically naive than other forms of affection, i.e kissing, hugging, sexing.., the act of holding hands is often trivialized in its true implications.

When I met Miley Cyrus at a CD signing I was cutting at the time. Well when I handed her my cd, my sleeve rolled up without me noticing, she saw and jumped up and hugged me in a real hug. I know she meant that hug, I felt it. Then she told me “You don’t have to hurt yourself anymore. Everything will be fine. You belong in this world. God gave you this life because he knew you were strong enough to live it.” She moved me that day. She’s the most amazing celebrity I’ve ever met. When I read what she signed on my cd I broke down crying. It said, “Don’t forget what I told you. You will be the light of someone’s day. Stay strong, Miley xoxo (: ” That’s why I love her. THAT’S why I don’t care about the mistakes she makes. She’s the only person that cared. She’s the only person that made me stop.
I could never repay her.
Now I just want to thank the haters. Thank you for hating on Miley, you made her lose all her weight because of you constantly judging and now she’s cutting. I don’t know what more you want from her.Just because according to societal standards, it’s considered ‘cool’ to hate on Miley and for example call Justin Bieber gay but you don’t realize what that’s doing to them. She’s losing weight because of you and she’s cutting because of you. Think.
I honestly, hope you’re happy now.
